ADTC has been established as a governmental entity in December 2005 in order to support and develop Emiratization strategies and plans in the public and private sectors, and in order to apply the vision of His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the United Arab Emirates and Ruler of Abu Dhabi, and realize the efforts of the rational leadership of Abu Dhabi which aims to develop the national capacities and provide sustainable employment opportunities for them in the labor market.
The Council, according to the Law of Establishment No (30)/2005, is concerned in a number of tasks and responsibilities that contribute in achieving its goal, most importantly: establish, develop and support strategies, plans, policies and Emiratization programs at the public and private sectors in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi. It is also concerned in establishing and monitoring the mechanisms which aim to enhance Emiratization rates within certain time schedules and in coordination with different employers. On the other hand, the Council, in coordination with the concerned authorities, is making recommendations which aim to direct the academic educational programs and the specialized training programs with the vocational and technical sectors in line with the labor market needs in the Emirate, and consequently to rehabilitate and employ the national employees within a strong and sustainable national economy.
